Audio Narration for Articles
Readers can now listen to published articles as narrated audio.
Finding calm in a city that never stops
A slower way to see Singapore, one neighborhood at a time.
What changed
Published articles can now include a generated narration player with play, pause, scrubbing, volume, and playback-speed controls.
Publications can enable narration globally and override it for individual articles, so editors remain in control of where audio appears.
Why it matters
Audio gives readers another way to engage with a publication, including when reading a screen is inconvenient or inaccessible.
Publishers can offer that flexibility without recording and maintaining a separate audio production for every article.
How it fits the publishing workflow
Narration is created from the article text when the article is published. The player appears with the published story, so readers can listen without leaving the publication.
When the article changes, its narration can be refreshed from the latest published text. Editors can manage the written and narrated versions through the same publishing workflow.
